Our 30-day returns promise

For eligible non-personalised jewellery, you can tell us you wish to return your purchase within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Please send the item back within 14 days of telling us. This voluntary promise is additional to your statutory rights.

How to return an item

Email orders@goldlinks.co.uk or WhatsApp 0161 823 6644. Please include your order number and the item you wish to return. You do not need to give a reason for a change-of-mind return. Contacting us helps us arrange your return, but statutory cancellation does not depend on obtaining our approval.

Send returns to: DTA Trading Ltd, PO Box 23, Manchester, M25 0PE, United Kingdom. Please include your name and order number in the parcel.

Please package jewellery securely and use a tracked service with insurance that specifically covers the type and value of jewellery being returned. Keep your proof of posting. The absence of original packaging or insurance does not, by itself, remove your statutory rights.

Return postage

For change-of-mind returns, you pay the direct cost of return postage. If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect or not as described, contact us so we can arrange the return and cover reasonable return costs.

Condition of returned jewellery

For our voluntary returns promise beyond the statutory cancellation period, items must be unworn, unaltered and in their original condition, with the supplied packaging and any certificates. During the statutory cancellation period, you may unpack and reasonably inspect an item as you would in a shop. We may deduct an evidenced reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, where legally permitted. We do not charge restocking fees for statutory cancellation.

Personalised, engraved and genuinely bespoke jewellery

The change-of-mind cancellation right and our voluntary returns promise do not apply to goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, including engraving. A standard catalogue item is not automatically excluded simply because it is manufactured after you order it or because you select standard options. Where an exclusion applies, we will explain it before your order is placed. Your rights concerning faulty, incorrect or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.

Earrings

Earrings are not automatically excluded from statutory cancellation. Where goods are genuinely unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons and supplied with an appropriate hygiene seal, the statutory cancellation right may be lost if that seal is broken after delivery. We will tell you before purchase where this applies. Faulty-item rights are unaffected.

Your statutory cancellation right

For eligible online, telephone and mail orders, you may cancel from the time you place the order until 14 days after the day you, or someone you nominate, receives the goods. You then have 14 days to send them back. You can notify us by any clear statement, including email or WhatsApp, or use the optional cancellation form in our Terms of Service.

Refunds

We issue refunds without undue delay. For statutory cancellation returns, we refund within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. If we have agreed to collect the goods, the statutory refund deadline runs from your cancellation notice. Refunds under our voluntary returns promise are issued within 14 calendar days of receipt of the return.

Refunds are made to your original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We will not substitute store credit or an exchange for a refund you are entitled to without your agreement. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the credit.

Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel the whole order, we also refund any basic delivery charge paid. UK standard delivery is free. If you chose a more expensive delivery service, we are generally not required to refund the additional premium for a change-of-mind cancellation. This does not restrict your rights where delivery or the goods fail to meet the contract.

Faulty or incorrect goods

If your jewellery is faulty, not as described or does not meet the contract, contact us promptly with your order details. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 may include rejection and refund, repair or replacement, or a price reduction, depending on the circumstances and timing. These rights are not limited to our 30-day returns promise and apply to personalised and bespoke goods too. Refunds for rejected faulty goods are made without undue delay and within 14 days of our agreeing that you are entitled to a refund.
